Past Future 5 Award Winners
The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) established the Future 5 Award in 2013 as a way to support and recognize upcoming leaders in the community. This award is presented to five area young professionals ages 21-40 who are presently growing and excelling in their respective fields and will continue to positively influence the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Fond du Lac County well into the future. 2023 nominations are now closed. 2017 Future 5 Awards
Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Future 5 award. Five individuals have been recognized for their outstanding growth, service and leadership in their professional careers and in the Fond du Lac community. The 2017 Future 5 recipients were:

2017 Young Professional of the Year, Joe Truesdale
Joe Truesdale, Marketing Account Manager at wisnet.com, approaches his daily life and career with a high level of passion, integrity and wisdom. You’ll most likely recognize Truesdale as the face of all things “young professional” related. He’s been an advocate and volunteer for the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) having served as President in 2016, is a current member of their executive committee, board of directors, marketing committee, and YPWeek committee, and volunteers for several events including IdeaCamp, Kickin’ for a Cause, Amazing Race and more. He has also represented YPF in the state-wide 72 initiative that seeks collaboration across all 72 counties in Wisconsin.

2016 Young Professional of the Year, Holly Luehring
Holly Luehring, Director of Marketing at Michels Corporation, has been impacting her team and company along with the Fond du Lac community, for the past 16 years. Starting as an intern, Holly grew through various roles to her current Director position. Over the past 18 months, Holly has achieved the introduction of a corporate-wide benevolent giving policy, an internal customer service training program and (vastly important to YP culture) a comprehensive engagement and retention program that focuses on team building, families, volunteerism and personal enrichment.

2015 Young Professional of the Year, Jenny Knuth
Knowledge. Skill. Desire. Those are just three attributes used to describe Jenny Knuth, Art Director at wisnet.com while being named a 2015 Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) Future 5 Award Recipient and 2015 Young Professional of the Year. Jenny Knuth has helped her clients big and small to reach their customers and stakeholders with impressive campaigns and solutions. The importance of community of course needs to be important for the YP of the Year. For Knuth, to say that community is “important” may very well be an understatement. In YPF alone, Knuth is a Past President, Board Member, Marketing and Programming & Events member and past co-chair, as well as a vital part to a successful Leaderfest in 2014 and the inaugural YPWeek in April of 2015. Not to mention her involvement with Fond du Lac Works, Envision Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, Sophia Foundation and more.

Holly Brenner, VP of Strategic Development & Marketing at Agnesian HealthCare continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of Agnesian HealthCare and their efforts to make our community healthier and happier. Additionally, as Envision Fond du Lac Chairperson, a Noon Rotarian, board member of the Fond du Lac Family YMCA, the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, Fond du Lac Convention & Visitors Bureau and many more, it is clear she is passionate about making the Fond du Lac community even stronger. These accomplishments, and many more, have earned Holly Brenner YPF’s 2014 Young Professional of the Year.

2013 Young Professional of the Year, Sam McClone
Through his involvement and service, McClone’s impact in the Fond du Lac community is remarkable. Even more remarkable however, is his commitment to encouraging others to follow in his footsteps. In the past, McClone has credited YPF for his start in the community. And while the organization is thrilled to have his recognition, it is clear that YPF would not be where it is today without his help. Dedicated and hardworking, McClone has been instrumental in promoting and growing the YPF organization for over eight years. His connection to this organization, on top of his qualifications as one of the 2013 Future 5 support Sam McClone as being named 2013 Young Professional of the Year.
YPF is a program of the Envision Greater Fond du Lac Foundation. As a 501(c)(3), donations made to YPF are tax deductible.
Financial assistance is available for YPF’s annual membership, Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s and YPF’s mission is to improve and develop all future leaders in the Fond du Lac area, regardless of their ability to pay.
