What do you enjoy the most about your career?
I’ve spent my career in a variety of roles within higher education, a field that has always been close to my heart. I love the people I work with, the constant chance to learn and grow, and the energy that college students bring—they truly keep me feeling young and motivated!
What words of wisdom would you share with other YP’s in relation to career building?
My advice to young professionals sounds a lot like the things I tell the students I’m working with… Embrace opportunities to try new things and step out of your comfort zone—you grow the most when you challenge yourself. Speak up for yourself and don’t hesitate to share your opinions; your voice and perspective matter. Also, remember that asking questions isn’t just okay—it’s a sign of curiosity and a commitment to learning, which are invaluable traits for building a successful career.
Who or what inspires and motivates you to be your best?
At the risk of sounding cheesy, my kids are my biggest inspiration and motivation. They remind me every day of the importance of setting a good example, working hard, and staying true to my values. Beyond that, I’m inspired by the people I work with and the students I support—their energy, resilience, and growth push me to continuously be my best.
What are 3 Characteristics and/or Strengths that make you who you are?
A huge part of who I am is my commitment to making personal connections and building relationships – which is central to my work, but also my personal life. I also work to stay positive and bring a little humor into situations as it keeps things light for everyone. Finally, I’m willing to try new things which helps me keep learning and growing.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time/a hobby you enjoy?
More than anything else, I love spending time with my kids trying new things – finding community activities, checking out places around the area, watching Marian sports, and engaging in new and fun ways. Oh, and I really like baking! 😊
What is your favorite part about being in YPF and how has it benefited you?
My connection to YPF has been a great way to get more engaged in the community – to build relationships (both personal and professional) and have opportunities to give back. I’ve been able to serve on a few committees and have really appreciated the opportunity to connect with others while creating awesome experiences for others in the community.
What does community engagement look like for you?
Community engagement for me is about being actively involved and finding ways to contribute to the people and places around me. Whether it’s volunteering, supporting local initiatives, or connecting with others to share ideas and resources, I believe in building strong relationships and creating opportunities for collaboration. For me, it’s about making a positive impact and being part of something bigger than myself.
Share a lesson you have learned or a nugget of advice with other YP’s:
One lesson I’ve learned is the value of staying open-minded and approachable. You never know where a new connection, idea, or experience might lead. Whether it’s a conversation, a challenge, or a new role, embracing it with curiosity and a positive attitude can open doors you didn’t even know were there.

It’s exciting to see all the positive changes and the awesome things happening in our community—there’s such an energy of progress and connection. My hope for the future is that it continues to thrive as a vibrant, welcoming place where people feel inspired to live, work, and make a difference.
