What Brought you to Fond du Lac: Fond du Lac is HOME! I’m a St. Mary’s Springs alumna. In 2020, I graduated from St. Norbert College and after 4 years away, I was called back!
Place of Employment and Position: Marian University, Assistant Director of Undergrad Admission
What do you enjoy the most about your career? Connecting with students, hearing their stories and helping them realize a degree from Marian University is affordable and attainable! Students are not only coming to Marian, but to the Fond du Lac area, so I get to share my hometown with students and their families!
What words of wisdom would you share with other YP’s in relation to career building? Expand your network – those will be your familiar faces when you’re out at community events.
Who or what inspires and motivates you to be your best? The students I get to work with!
What are 3 Characteristics and/or Strengths that make you who you are? Connector. Resourceful. Doer.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time/a hobby you enjoy? I love to go to local restaurants – my faves are Friday Fish Fry & Old Fashioneds at Crave, Blueberry Vanilla French Toast at La Clare Creamery and Not Your Mama’s Grilled Cheese at Sweet & Salty Pig! Drives out to the Holyland, Elkhart Lake and through the Kettle Moraine – that’s my happy place!!
What is your favorite part about being in YPF and how has it benefited you? It was very important to be involved in high school and college and now that I’m in my profession I’m able to continue with YPF but also through Leadership Fond du Lac County.
What does community engagement look like for you? Community engagement for me is seeing or experiencing something and wanting to be a part of it to make it better.
Share a lesson you have learned or a nugget of advice with other YP’s: Don’t be afraid to go to events by yourself – don’t worry, everyone has been in your shoes at their first event! Business Connections are great for this…and fun!
What do you love about the Fond du Lac area today and what is your hope for it’s tomorrow? I hope Fond du Lac continues to be a great place to live, work, and play!
