Wendt’s on the Lake, local family-owned restaurant famous for their perch, will remain open for the foreseeable future.
Wendt’s has been family-owned and operated since January 15, 1962 (62 years), and hopes to continue the family business for another 62 years.
“We are proud to say, we are not closing! Wendt’s appreciates the community support and business we’ve received over the last 62 years, and we hope will continue to come out for our famous fresh lake perch and other delicious menu choices,” Ann Wendt-Cross, owner, said. “Sturgeon spearing season is here! Good luck, stay safe, and be sure to check out our extended hours.”
Similarly, neighboring business Wendt’s Marine is not closing.
Wendt’s on the Lake is located between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac on the shores of Lake Winnebago, making it the perfect spot for lakeside dining in summer and a hub for ice fishing and sturgeon spearing in the winter.
For the sturgeon spearing season, Wendt’s will be open every day at 11:00 a.m. now until the end of the season.
