Marian University men’s basketball (0-11, 0-5 NACC) struggled offensively falling to Lawrence 67-54 in non-conference action.

- Lawrence was able to start fast on its home court scoring the first 12 points of the game.
- The Sabres were able to bounce back, however, taking a 21-20 lead with 7:44 left in the opening half.
- The two squads were tied at 23-23 before Lawrence finished the half with the final three points to take the lead for good.
- The second half opened evenly with Lawrence maintaining a 37-34 advantage with 11:01 to play.
- Lawrence was then able to pull away going on an 18-7 spurt to lead 55-41 with 4:30 remaining.

- The Sabres only went 17-of-59 (.288) in the defeat shooting 8-of-31 (.258) on three-pointers.
- Lawrence shot 16-of-33 (.485) and was 31-of-39 (.795) from the charity stripe. The Vikings wer 8-of-14 (.571) from the field in the second half and 24-of-29 (.828) on free throws.
- The Marian defense forced 21 turnovers but tied the Vikings in points of turnovers 13-13.
- Lawrence held a 22-16 advantage in points in the paint.
- Marian falls to the Vikings for the first time since the 2012-13 season and is now 6-5 all-time.
