Kevin Cushing, an SSM Health Laboratories lab support technician, has been named the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award.

Cushing was nominated by two colleagues who wrote:

 “Kevin was amazing. Our lab techs called him asking multiple questions. Kevin went and found the answer to every question without fail. He even followed up with the lab techs. He went above and beyond his job to help with patient care.”

“Kevin went above and beyond when a stressful night fell into our hands. Kevin did not only assist by answering every question we threw at him, but if he did not know he fought tooth and nail to try and find the answer we were looking for. He made our lives a little easier. He assisted in many ways I cannot describe, but he was the reason we got through that night.”

The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
