Seven area students who intend to pursue careers in health care have been awarded scholarships from SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac.
The SSM Health Volunteer Services has awarded five from the Fond du Lac area with the SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers giving two. Scholarship recipients were chosen from among area high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in health care.
Award recipients include:
- Isabella Meisenheimer is a recipient of a SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She attended Lomira High School and plans to pursue a career in nursing at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
- Lauren Liethen is a recipient of a SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She attended St. Mary’s Springs Academy and plans to attend Concordia University of Wisconsin to pursue a degree as a registered nurse.
- Marissa Adamavich is a recipient of a SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She attended Mayville High School. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursue a career in nursing.
- Olivia Jennings is a recipient of a SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She attended Ripon High School. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin – La Crosse to pursue an orthopedics physician’s assistant degree.
- Kamber Pekarske is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $2,000 scholarship. She attended Randolph High School and is planning on pursuing a career in nursing at University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
- Avery Slings is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $2,000 scholarship. She attended Central Wisconsin Christian and is planning on pursuing a degree in speech language pathology at Calvin University.
- Talia Erdmann is a recipient of a SSM Health Volunteers Technical School $1,000 scholarship. She attended Laconia High School. She plans to attend Moraine Park Technical College and pursue a career as a registered nurse.
