The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, 608 W. Brown Street, Waupun, welcomes Brandon Dillenback, APNP, a family medicine nurse practitioner. He is now accepting patients.
As a nurse practitioner, Dillenback offers a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services. He diagnoses and treats a variety of health conditions, prescribes medications, and provides patient education.
Dillenback earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing – family nurse practitioner from the University of Rochester.
In selecting family medicine as his chosen profession, Dillenback felt he could make the biggest difference. “I fell in love with preventive health care,” he explains. “I love trying to think outside of the box and explore lifestyle changes as a first line of defense. I have seen how much proper education and lifestyle changes can help decrease the amount of emergency department visits. If I can help prevent these visits to the hospital and help my patients feel their best self, I will find fulfillment in my job.”
Dillenback’s personal approach to patient care is to treat every patient as if they were a family member. “It is important to me that each one of my patients feels cared for and valued,” he says. “By showing both empathy and sympathy, I can truly build trusting relationships with my patients. Being patient and actively listening to their needs ensures they receive holistic care. I want us to be a team working together toward their goals. My relaxed, easy-going personality makes the appointment feel less stressful for my patients.”
A great team approach to care is a personal motivation for Dillenback. “When I feel like a team works well together, patient care improves and patients are happy with their care. No one can be an expert on everything so leaning on the team helps give the patients the best care available. Seeing positive outcomes in my patients motivates me to continue learning and growing every day.”
Outside of his clinical practice, Dillenback enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys fishing, working out and most sports.
