Ryan Pizinger, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, is now serving SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic patients at SSM Health Plaza A, 421 Camelot Drive, Fond du Lac, and Ripon Community Hospital, 845 Parkside Street. 

“I grew up playing all types of sports and played through college,” says Dr. Pizinger. “Orthopedics was a medical specialty that allowed me to continue being a part of the sporting community, allowing me to get injured athletes back to their sports.” 

Dr. Pizinger specializes in sports medicine, joint replacement surgery, anterior hip replacement surgery, shoulder reconstruction, and hip, shoulder, and knee arthroscopy, allowing for successful procedures of all different complexities. His goal is to return his patients to their active lifestyle as quickly as possible. 

“I give patients as much autonomy as I can,” says Dr. Pizinger. “Informed decisions for all treatments are necessary so every patient has an understanding of their diagnosis and feels engaged in their treatment plan. This allows the patient to make their own decisions incorporating what they feel is best for themselves and their lifestyle.” 

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Dr. Pizinger completed his orthopedic residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. 

“I find great personal satisfaction in being able to provide the best orthopedic care I can to all my patients,” according to Dr. Pizinger.  

In his free time, Dr. Pizinger enjoys golfing and soaking in the sun on a beach.
