Sabre men’s basketball defeated at WLC

Marian University men’s basketball (2-17, 2-10 NACC) was defeated by Wisconsin Lutheran 70-55 on the road.

  • Wisconsin Lutheran opened with a slim 9-8 advantage before expanding its lead with a 9-3 run.
  • Marian cut a nine-point deficit down to five with 1:31 left in the half only for WLC to score five unanswered to finish the half.
  • The Sabres bounced back from a slow start to the second half to only trail 41-35 with 15:06 left to play.
  • Another quick 9-3 run from the Warriors put WLC ahead 50-38 with 12:41 remaining.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran maintained a double-digit lead for nearly the entire remainder of the game leading by as much as 16.
