Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted a ribbon cutting at member organization, Georgetown Cleaners, to celebrate new ownership.
Georgetown Cleaners is a family-owned business that was started in 1959 by George Morris. In 2024, the business was purchased by the Pelletier Family, who continue to operate the establishment as a family owned and operated business.
“Georgetown Cleaners in Fond du Lac’s premier dry cleaner and self-serve laundromat,” Buck Dumanch, general manager and co-owner, said. “We are a full-service laundry service, from dry cleaning to wash/dry/fold, we do it all! If you wear it, we’ll clean it! Our family, the Pelletier family, purchased the business from Jim and Kathy in November of 2024. Since purchasing, we wanted to find ways to give back to the community. We are partnered with Advocap to provide laundry to the less fortunate, and we are continuing the “Coat for Kids” tradition they did year after year (collecting and laundering coats in partnership with the Salvation Army). It’s just something I want to do to give back to those in need.”
Georgetown Cleaners offers several specialty services, including professional dry cleaning, shirt laundering, route services, free pickup and delivery, custom alterations and repair, and self-service laundry. At Georgetown, they pride themselves on offering fast, friendly, and personalized service at a competitive price. They goal is to provide you, they customer, with outstanding customer service every day.
