Marian University women’s basketball (7-16, 5-9 NACC) rallied from a 15-point deficit at halftime to defeat Rockford 78-75.

- Marian jumped out to a quick start leading 9-3 just 2:45 into the game.
- Rockford had an answer, however, going on a 14-3 run to lead 17-12.
- The Sabres were able to keep the game manageable and only trailed 19-17 going into the second quarter.
- The Regents opened the second stanza hot and used a 13-2 spurt to lead 32-19.
- Rockford was able to build its lead to as large as 17 points in the quarter and took a 43-28 edge into halftime.
- The Sabres were able to slowly chip away at their deficit and outscored Rockford 21-14 in the third quarter to only trail 57-49.
- The Marian rally continued in the fourth quarter as the Sabres scored the first nine points of the final quarter to retake the lead 58-57.
- The game remained a one-possession contest for most of the remainder of the quarter eventually leading to a 75-74 Rockford advantage with 17 seconds left.
- After a Marian timeout, junior Chelsea King would hit a three-pointer to give the Sabres a two-point lead with 13 ticks remaining.
- King then forced a turnover on the next Rockford possession to seal the victory.

- Marian finished 29-of-62 (.468) from the field and 12-of-32 (.375) from beyond the arc.
- Rockford was 26-of-62 (.419) and 10-of-26 (.385) on triples.
- The Sabres went 11-of-16 (.688) shooting and 5-of-8 (.625) from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter.
- Marian was eliminated from NACC Tournament contention despite the win.
- The Sabres are now 18-21 all-time against Rockford snapping a two-game skid.
