Marian women’s bowling finishes third at UWW Warhawk Classic

Marian University women’s bowling finished in third place at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Classic after finishing with 12,628 pins over 14 total games.

  • Marian was able to open the tournament in third after recording 6,294 pins over seven traditional matches.
  • The Sabres had at least 850 pins in all but one game with three games exceeding 900 pins.
  • Marian had a high game of 994 in the fourth game of traditional play.
  • The Sabres showed consistency finishing with 6,334 pins in Baker play over seven games. 
  • Marian had its best three matches of Baker play come in the first three games after going 1,016, 948, and 1,014.
  • The Sabres were one of only two schools who had two Baker matches with more than 1,000 pins.
  • Marian finished only behind No. 2 Vanderbilt and No. 18 UW-Whitewater.
  • The Sabres finished ahead of CCIW opponents Aurora, Augustana (Ill.), Elmhurst, and Carroll.

Jocelynn Eggert led the Sabres once again finishing in fifth with a 195.29 average. She had a high game of 221.
Brenna Schiekiera earned a finish in the top 10 averaging 183.86 with a high game of 210.
Jenna Betts averaged 173.00 pins with a high game of 226 to finish in 16th.

Women bowling
