Marian University women’s bowling earned its second straight, fourth overall, CCIW Tournament Championship to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for a second straight season.

- The morning opened with an elimination match against Carroll where Marian was able to sweep traditional and Baker play.
- The Sabres earned a convincing 931-828 victory in traditional action before a close 879-877 victory in Baker pin fall.
- This set Marian up for a rematch with Aurora where the Sabres were able to earn another sweep.
- The Sabres opened with an 877-806 traditional victory to pave the way for a dominating 875-742 win in Baker total pinfall.
- Marian was the only school to finish with at least 857 pins in traditional play and they did so in all four matches of the tournament.
- In match seven, a best-of-seven Baker match, it was the Spartans who found their stride to take the opening game.
- A dramatic one-pin victory for Marian in game two helped set Marian up to take a 3-1 advantage in the match.
- Aurora stormed right back, however, taking the next two games to force a winner-take-all seventh game.
- The Spartans used their momentum to build a 102-75 lead through the first five frames.
- With their backs against the wall, Marian then tossed a four-bagger to lead 181-169 in the ninth frame.
- Senior Brenna Schiekiera then capped off the comeback with nine pins in the 10th for a dramatic 190-189 victory in game seven.
- This is the fourth CCIW Tournament Championship for Marian and it earns the Sabres a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
- The selection show for the NCAA Tournament will be available at ncaa.org Wednesday, March 26 at 3 p.m.
