Marian University softball (9-13, 4-4 NACC) defeated CUW 4-0 and 5-2 for its first sweep of the Falcons since 2009.

GAME 1
- The opener was a pitching duel through the first four innings.
- Senior Kerena Wood broke the stalemate with an opposite-field two-run homer in the top of the fifth.
- Another long ball off the bat of senior Kendall Pliner opened the seventh to put Marian ahead 3-0.
- Junior Sofia Cerullo provided a two-out single to bring home a run to end the inning and put the final at 4-0.
- Sophomore Sabrina DiVito was dominant in the circle allowing just three hits for her first seven-inning shutout of the season.
- The victory was the first road win for Marian over CUW since 2013.
GAME 2
- Concordia Wisconsin was finally able to find the scoreboard pushing across two runs in the bottom of the second to open game two.
- Wood erased the Sabre deficit with a three-run pinch-hit home run to open the fourth inning.
- An infield single from sophomore McKenna Repovich allowed Cerullo to score later in the inning and put Marian ahead 4-2.
- The scoring concluded with a run-producing single from junior Ariana Schliepp in the seventh.
- The sweep was the first for Marian against CUW in 2009, also a road sweep.
- Marian is now 46-49 all-time against CUW having won the last three meetings, including an elimination-game win in the 2024 NACC Tournament.
