Marian University softball (13-13, 6-4 NACC) swept Aurora for the first time in program history with wins of 8-0 in six innings and 4-0.

GAME 1
- Sophomore Sabrina Di Vito started the offense early with a single that drove in two runs in the opening frame.
- Fellow sophomore Erin Cowe then brought home the next four runs for Marian over the course of four innings to put Marian ahead 6-0 in the sixth.
- The very next at bat in the sixth saw senior Kendall Pliner end the game early with a single that drove in two runs.
- The victory was the first mercy-rule win for the Sabres over Aurora.
GAME 2
- The Sabres wasted no time in game two with Cowe and junior Ariana Schliepp each driving in a run in the first to put Marian ahead 2-0.
- A solo home run from Pliner in the third gave the Sabres a 3-0 advantage.
- Cowe closed out the scoring for the game bringing in a run in the fourth.
- The sweep is the first for Marian softball over Aurora in program history.
- The Sabres are now 9-38 all-time against Aurora but Marian has won the last three meetings.
