Marian University softball (7-9, 2-2 NACC) swept Rockford 7-0 and 5-4 in a conference doubleheader.

GAME 1
- Marian wasted no time scoring after being shutout in back-to-back games the day prior scoring two in the opening frame.
- Sophomore Savanna Knuth had one of the runs driven in and then added to teh Marian lead with a run-producing single in the third.
- The Sabres were able to take advantage of three Rockford errors in the fourth inning to plate three runs and lead 6-0.
- A bases-loaded walk from junior Sofia Cerullo in the sixth proved to be the final scoring for the game.
GAME 2
- It was Rockford who had a strong start to game two with a pair of runs in the first inning.
- Senior Kendall Pliner erased the deficit with a double to left field to open a four-run thrid inning.
- Knuth and junior Alexa Paulsberg each drove in a run as part of the inning to put the Sabres ahead 4-2.
- The Regents were able to battle back scoring a run in the fourth and sixth inning to tie the game at 4-2.
- With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, junior Carissa Heisdorf drew a walk and stole second to start a rally.
- This set Paulsberg up to drive her in with a double for the walk-off win.
- Marian is now 32-7 all-time against Rockford with wins in the last six games.
