Marian University baseball (13-14, 8-6 NACC) defeated CUW 10-4 before a late rally fell short in game two falling to the Falcons 9-7.

GAME 1
- Marian wasted no time opening the scoring with four runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by a single from graduate student Robbie Knorr that scored the first two runs of the game.
- The next half inning saw CUW cut its deficit to 4-3, but Marian responded with two more runs in the bottom of the second.
- Small ball in that frame saw senior James Bornick and Knorr bring home a run with sacrifices.
- A productive out from sophomore Marc Jones gave Marian a 7-3 lead in the third.
- This score held until the seventh when Marian broke the game open with two more runs.
- A wild pitch in the eighth saw Marian extend the advantage to 9-3.
- A solo home run in the ninth from CUW put the final at 10-4.
GAME 2
- The second game saw CUW get out to a fast start with a three-run home run in the second and a run in the third to lead 4-0.
- A two-out double from Knorr plated two runs to highlight a three-run third to put Marian behind just one.
- The fifth inning saw each side plate a run to put the CUW advantage up to 5-4.
- The Falcons had a big sixth inning scoring four runs to take a 9-4 advantage.
- Marian fought off this momentum shift using a single from senior Jacob Kleemann to score two runs and trail 9-6.
- The Sabres were silenced until the ninth where Bornick brought home a run to bring the Sabre deficit to two.
- Marian was able to load the bases with just one out but a strikeout and flyout ended the rally.
