Northeast Wisconsin’s preeminent title and closing companies join forces to strengthen service offerings and expand geographic reach

Guaranty Title Services, Inc. (GTS) has announced it is acquiring Closing and Title Services, LLC (C&T). Both companies are headquartered in northeast Wisconsin and together have eight locations in the region.

“Closing and Title Services is a high-quality company with a fantastic reputation – we are excited to welcome them to the Guaranty Title Services family,” said Chad Raube, president and CEO of Guaranty Service Group, the parent company of GTS. “Both of our companies take great pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience, and by combining our teams into one, our additional scale will enable us to collectively delight even more homeowners throughout northeast Wisconsin.”

Andrew Horan, president of C&T will assume the senior vice president of business development role for the combined company. Horan has been owner and president of title service companies for nearly 30 years.

“It is a truly rare event to have two industry leading companies share such commonality in employee culture and customer experience dedication. To be able to combine both companies into one locally owned, local powerhouse is incredibly exciting,” Horan said. 

Katie Schmitz, president, and COO of GTS will oversee the combined company. Schmitz, a veteran of over 19 years in the title business at GTS, has multiple designations, including The National Title Professional (NTP) designation which is designed to recognize land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience, and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property. Schmitz is one of only two in the state of Wisconsin to earn this prestigious honor.

Customers of both companies can expect to work with the same local teams they currently deal with but will enjoy increased access to regional services as the acquisition positions GTS as the forerunner of closing and title services in northeastern Wisconsin.
