Envision Greater Fond du Lac hires Emily Waisanen

Envision Greater Fond du Lac has hired Emily Waisanen as the Workforce Programming Specialist.

“This role is integral to achieving our strategic goals and we’re excited to have Emily on board,” Lisa McArthur, Vice President of Economic Development said. “This position focuses on preparing the next generation of workforce to take on the roles needed in Fond du Lac County and beyond.”

As the Workforce Programming Specialist, Waisanen is responsible for the development and management of Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s workforce development programs including but not limited to Career Connections Academy, Project G.R.I.L.L., Summer Series for Interns & Co-Ops, Fond du Lac R.O.C.K., and the Solutions to the Fond du Lac County Workforce Joint Taskforce with the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (NEWMA).

“I am excited to take on this role,” Waisanen said. “I have been on the other end of many of these programs as a teacher. This insight will help build these programs and assist in preparing these students for what is after high school.”

Waisanen most recently held the position of middle school English teacher at the Oakfield Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Calvin College.
